Water- and Organic Solvent-Soluble Conducting Polymer, SELFTRON®

SELFTRON® is an innovative, proprietary “self-doped” material developed by TOSOH. It exhibits excellent conductivity without requiring any additives (secondary dopants) while offering outstanding water solubility and durability.

  • Self-Doped Conducting Polymer: Unlike conventional, general-purpose conducting polymers, it incorporates a water-soluble dopant into a pi-conjugated polymer, allowing it to be used as a uniform aqueous solution. It delivers exceptional coatability, storage stability, conductivity, and durability.

  • Versatile Processing & Forming Methods:

    • Coating: Forms a conductive film by applying the solution onto various substrates (such as films, glass, etc.) via spin coating or bar coating, followed by drying.

    • Printing: Fully compatible with a wide range of printing methods, including screen printing, gravure, and inkjet printing.

    • Impregnation: Seamlessly grants conductivity to fabrics, textiles, or porous materials through simple impregnation and subsequent drying.
